How evaluation inspires decision makers - IDEA at TEN conference in Belgrade

On 10 September 2015 Maciej Kolczynski spoke about the use of evaluation by policy makers, during the conference 'Improving Performance of Public Administration: Current Experiences and Future Perspectives' organized in Belgrade on 9-10 September.

The conference was organized by “Think for Europe” Network of Think Tanks and EU Policy Research Centres in South East Europe (TEN) and its aim was to initiate regional debate on the performance of public administration in the Western Balkan countries. A special focus was put on the importance of performance audit and policy evaluation in the process of reforming public administration, in the context of the EU accession process.

Our expert participated in a working group “Does Policy Evaluation Matter?” where he presented the outcomes of our project Use of knowledge in administration – mechanisms of civic supervision and general information about evaluation system in Poland.

The founding members of TEN are three think tanks: European Policy Centre (CEP) from Belgrade, the European Policy Institute (EPI) from Skopje and the Institute Alternativa (IA) from Podgorica.
