Role of think-tanks - our panel during the 1st Evaluation Congress

Our Foundation at the 1st Evaluation Congress in Warsaw.

As a partner of the first Evaluation Congress in Warsaw we have engaged in a robust discussion within the panel dedicated to the role of think-tanks, on the first day of event.

During the panel chaired by Stanislaw Bienias, together with Colleagues from Jagiellonian University, WISE Institute and Ministry of Infrastructure and Development we have made an attempt to answer the following questions:

what can be a role of Polish think-tanks in building the evidence-based debatein Poland?
what are the dissemination methods and channels which think-tanks can successfully use?
how can Polish NGO’s use evaluation for their own purposes?
civic control versus cooperation with administration – what serves better as a way to increase the use of evaluations? Are these two terms contradictory to each other?

The Congress was organized by the Polish Evaluation Society on 20-21 October 2015.
